Welcome to Wagging Tails

You may be wondering why we have formed an animal rescue when there are so many rescues, especially the wonderful Humane Society, SPCA, Helen Woodward, and many, many others.
But there are still many more animals than all the adoption agencies can handle.  The number of adoptable animals that have to be euthanized is heart-breaking.
Sandy Hill is President of NWTLB and has been providing adoption services for most of the 13 years she has been in business as Sandy’s Animal Services.

Now, as an IRS certified non-profit charitable organization, a 501(c)(3) corporation, we can HELP MORE ANIMALS TO BECOME ADOPTABLE AND FIND HOMES!  We will have more funds and resources, so that time, money and energy can be spent in delivering services to animals and foster/adoptive families.
This is because we can:

  • Participate in larger adoption events, e.g., Petco, Petsmart, RoadRunner Sports, etc., giving animals the opportunity to have many more families meet them
  • Purchase donated and discounted software and hardware from TechSoup, a nonprofit whose mission is to assist nonprofits and libraries
  • Apply for grants and loans
  • Have free use of the meeting rooms at libraries for Board and committee meetings
  • Receive free or discounted pet food and supplies from the larger companies
  • Provide tax-deductible receipts for donations, so the donors can deduct their gifts on their income taxes.
  • Reimburse volunteers for expenses and mileage.

Since we are a new nonprofit, there are probably many other ways we can leverage money and effort on behalf of the animals – stay tuned!

You can help us too! Download our fillable PDF Volunteer Opportunity Form. Fill out the ways you can help and email the form back to us, or mail (or scan and email) if you printed and filled out the traditional way.
